The new Contemporary Floating shelves have a veneer top & bottom (over MDF), and solid 3/4" face and sides. Built to last using lap-joint construction, the beautiful Contemporary Floating Shelf will add the open shelving element you've been looking for. Choice of five wood species. Floating shelves come with 22 1/2-inch steel bracket and installation instructions.
